Duong Nguyet Anh is my pride when talking about Vietnamese women. I am very a proud of her not because she is called "Bomb Lady", but because she is a very hard working, patient, assertive, creative, smart, patriotic, and beatiful woman. She is a role model for all young Vietnamese women to follow.
Please, check this link and learn more about her! Thanks.

My classmate's blog

I just visited Phally's blog and watched the clip "Better in time- (Cover)." The two talented young ladies recorded themselves singing one of the top hit songs in front of the computer. I think they sing beautifully. They look very confident, and most importantly, they have fun. And now they're famous.
I'm sure many people have sung in the bathroom, in front of the mirror, but that was it. Nowadays, technology has helped people carry their dreams further. With a webcam or a camera, people can record themselves, and thanks to Youtube, people can share their videos with everybody else. And some people would be recognized from there.. Technology has made lots of differences in our lives.

Saturday Morning

* It's sunny. I open the window of my room...
* I hear birds singing in my backyard. How cheerful I am!
* But I cannot concentrate on reading "Gender Mainstreaming..." Even though I have to read more times, some issues in the analysis of gender mainstreaming make me confused. It's so complicated.... anyway I learnt a lot.

An interesting news

* Bill Gate's wife, Melinda Gates, reveals that Bill Gate doesn't allow her and her three kids to use iPods and iPhones .They are on the banned list in their household. What a surprise! I wonder why it happens while Bill Gate is Microsoft founder. (On Yahoo! Tech - Mar 3, 09)

My feeling

Presidential address to Congress

"We will rebuild, we will recover, and the United States of America will emerge stronger than before...."
Then he ends his speech," If we come together and lift this nation from the depths of this crisis, if we put our people back to work and restart the engine of our prosperity, if we confront without fear the challenges of our time and summon that enduring spirit of an America that does not quit, then someday years from now our children can tell their children that this was the time when we performed, in the words that are carved into this very chamber, “something worthy to be remembered.”
I love president Obama's speech today. With his plan, I believe America's economy, education, health car, etc ... will be recovered. I feel happy !!!!!

My first entry

It is raining again today. The gloomy weather keeps me from concentrating on my readings.
But the bright side of the day is Oscar. I always like to watch Oscar every year. I think this year Oscar is kind of emotional. I feel touching when people all stand up for Heath Ledger, who died a year ago by accidental drug overdose. His parents and sister come to Kodak Theatre to receive his award. Everyone seems to love and miss him a lot!
